Experience

Michaela practises in all areas of common law, predominantly in personal injuries. Her practice includes workplace injuries, transport accidents, public liability, medical negligence, superannuation and insurance disputes.

She has a special interest in coronial inquests.

Before coming to the Bar, Michaela was an Associate at Maurice Blackburn. While at Maurice Blackburn, she worked within the firm’s Complex Litigation Team, focusing solely on County Court and Supreme Court litigation across Victoria, including the Mildura, Latrobe Valley and Geelong circuits.

In 2022, Michaela was the Victorian and Australian Golden Gavel winner, a stand-up comedy competition for lawyers. In 2023, she was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 awards in the category of Health, Medical and Personal Injury.

Michaela holds a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University.

Michaela is reading with Raph Ajzensztat and her senior mentor is James Mighell KC.
