Experience

Patrick practices in common law, public and administrative law, with a focus on medical negligence, institutional abuse, judicial review, and appellate matters.

Patrick also accepts briefs to appear at commissions, inquires, and disciplinary proceedings, as well as in criminal law matters.

He has accepted briefs to appear in all Victorian Courts and the High Court, led and unled, at trial and appellate level, including at interlocutory applications.

Prior to signing the Bar Roll, Patrick was a solicitor at Galbally & O’Bryan Lawyers. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne.

He is an accredited mediator and is available to be briefed as a mediator in commercial, administrative, and common law matters.

He read with Dugald McWilliams SC and his senior mentor was Jeremy Ruskin KC.
